Meeting Times and Location
CSA Chapter #78 meets the third Monday March through June and September through December at 7:00 pm. Meeting months are 2 off, 4 on, 2 off, 4 on beginning in January,
if that is easier to remember.
Meetings are held at First Evangelical Covenant Church, 1933 Tremont NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504. This location is west of 131, between I-96 and I-196. Easy access off I-196 at Lake Michigan Drive exit. Follow the Mapquest link for specific directions from your location.
People who are new to celiac disease, the gluten free diet or the support group are invited to come at 6:30 pm for additional support before the meeting begins.
It is our policy to stay until questions have been answered.
How do you join?
Many CSA chapters have annual membership dues. We have chosen to make our membership open to everyone by not charging dues. There is always a donation basket on the table if people would like to help support our chapter. Money given helps pay for our business cards and brochures, as well as paper products, etc. used for meetings.
How will I know what is going on?
If you come we will add your email to our emailing list. Meeting reminders and summaries are sent monthly. You can also check the celiac support group Facebook page.
What will happen at a meeting?
At most meetings, people introduce themselves and share how long them have been gluten free. We try to have a guest, from a local restaurant or store that can share what they are doing and answer questions. Updates are shared. This may be new products or upcoming events. We always have some gluten free snacks. Many people find someone who shared something that they need more information on or who they just want to talk to. The board members are all available to answer questions and get to know those attending.
Who are the Board Members?
The board members are people who have learned about celiac disease and the gluten free diet and are committed to share and support. They also meet regularly to plan the meetings and snacks. They are also available to respond to your email questions between meetings. If you need a personal consultation, ask one of them for assistance. For more information about the board members, check out the Contact Us tab.
